This Addiction...

I am overly addicted to thrifting!!! Aaaahhhh! On Saturday I convinced Jarom to drive me to Logan to get to some thrift stores other than the usual picked over D.I.'s around here! I got a lot of great stuff, much to Jarom's disappointment! Some of the pictures below are from previous trips, but I still wanted to share. This weekend we ended up with a new projector, GE Fan, a Cute Vintage Dress, a sweet Leather Jacket/Hoodie (that I didn't photograph), pretty little harvest pyrex dish and a scrapbook to house my 365 project (photos to come sometime on that project!) Here's some pictures!

Someone should stay up at night and supervise me

I am in big big big trouble in the morning when Jarom finds out I bought this lovely set of cameras for the collection when we really shouldn't be spending money...(and when he told me not to) but I love them and I couldn't stop thinking about them. It was really eating at me bad. uh oh! (jarom-i la la love you)
and I consider myself grounded!

Big News!

Today I officially enrolled in school, like college school...I feel so grown up! I know this is very late going but I've been waiting for Jarom to finish school first, so now I'm tired of waiting and it's about time anyway, right?!? (Since I graduated 5 years ago!)
I will start June 1st at Davis Applied Technology College, 2 days a week in the Web and Graphic Design program! This has been in the works for quite a while, it's what I've wanted to do forever. I just never wanted to do the typical college thing with the prerequisites and wasting money on courses that I didn't want to do. This school is just what I need because I can work at my own pace and take the classes that I want! Needless to say, we are both very excited and can't wait for me to finally do something with my lazy self!

Funny Story: You have to do an assessment test to get in to the school on basic math and reading/comprehension. And I've always hated math, so Jarom made me a lovely little practice test the other day to see what I could do and man...! I had to google. haha! Basic math...! I kinda felt like an idiot, but it's been 5 years since i've done ANY math so I think I have a little excuse. Calculators have destroyed our generation. Who needs to know how to do long division anymore?!? Apparently I did! But after a little review I only missed one question, the guy was impressed! So in your face division (and fractions!)!

Japanese Game Shows, anyone?

The mister and myself have been stuck on youtube for the last little while watching Japanese game shows. It's funny that whenever we are on youtube we end up watching these! Notably the marshmallow game, mxc and stuff like that. Tonight Jarom had to show me these two and they are crazy, so funny! I love the hole in the wall one, oh my goodness! And the guy in the white running with his arms straight on the treadmill one! We also watched this one where they play soccer with binoculars, it is super funny but the video quality is bad so I will spare you!

enjoy!

Freebies!

Today I found some great Freebies on Pugly Pixel! I totally downloaded both of the tape strips, the shipping tags and the paper buffet! I love love free digi downloads! Plus they can even be used for commercial use if you want!

I've also just discovered "The Graphics Fairy" another great and Freee resource for clip art and blog backgrounds. (just bookmarked!) She has stuff like this ticket that I think is so versatile and useful (and comes in multiple colors) as well as a lot of vintage clip art.
You should check these ladies out!

hola

I've been telling myself that I need to get on here everyday but always run out of time! Jarom has been taking over the computer every night! haha! Playing his game...but that's cool. I usually sit by him when he plays and tell him what he should do! So...I will hopefully get on later and write something good...but it's beautiful outside! AND finally warm so I will be out there!

April Came and Went

Hello, hello!
We had a lot going on in April and I have been totally out of the blog scene or at least incredibly unmotivated! Jarom has had a crazy schedule lately, working from 8-4 and then driving all the way to Kayesville for school from 4:30-9 on Monday-Thursday, in the crazy, stupid Utah traffic! He is doing awesome so far, but I'm pretty concerned because that is a pretty extreme schedule! Hopefully he doesn't lose steam too soon!
We spent the 20th through the 25th of April in St. George, our favorite place to vacation! The weather was not great and we were super bummed. We left northern Utah to get to some warmer weather and it was rainy and windy for all except the last two days, but we still had a lot of fun! It was my grandpa's birthday on the 23rd so there was a big group of us (me and Jarom for some of the time, my parents and brothers, grandpa and grandma, Jannette and Cameron) that went on this trip kind of as a birthday trip! Jarom had to work so he drove down Friday, leaving me alone with my family :) haha. I totally felt like I was in high school again! It is weird to not have a partner to do stuff with! So this is a quick summary of what happened...

We went to Kolob Canyon one of the days and it was snowing all the way there (yuck!) and there had been a rock slide the day before so the road was closed and we couldn't go anyway.
On the way back to town from Kolob, we stopped in this town, Leeds, where there was a "ghost town" but there really wasn't anything there but this mine shaft thing that I'm sitting on!
Jannette and Cameron (Love this picture! Cam is the cheesiest smiler I've ever seen!)
This day we went for a 0.2 mi. walk to find some indian writings that turned into a 2 mile hike, this would've been all good except for the fact that I was wearing my black flats that now have holes in the sides. Jannette was wearing black wedge flip-flops with rhinestone bling, so at least my shoes weren't the least practical! Also, I know this face is super weird, but I think my hair looks crazy cool!
We went to Zion National Park, I forgot my camera so these pictures are from last years trip! We really love that place, there are some really great hikes and we can't wait to do them all! Plus, they have great (and expensive) Ice Cream Cones at the lodge...Bonus!
I take a lot of pictures of my feet! I might have to do a whole series, like "oh the places I go"
This is us up on the Dixie. Man, are we the cutest?!?! We are my favorite!
We also went to Snow Canyon (it only rained some of the time!) those pictures are still on my phone, we ate some yummy cheeseburgers (three guesses as to where they came from), went shopping and got a little sun!
I loooove vacation!
xoxo.
